## Program Overview: Launching Your Engineering Career
The AkzoNobel Graduate Engineering Trainee program is a rigorous, 20-month rotational scheme designed to accelerate your professional growth. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of manufacturing leaders, preparing high-potential candidates to step into pivotal middle-management roles within our global operations.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking bright, creative, and ambitious individuals who are ready to tackle complex challenges. To be eligible for this program, you should meet the following criteria:
* Educational Background: Fresh graduates or professionals with a maximum of one year of experience, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Chemistry, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering preferred).
* Skill Set: Strong analytical thinking, a deep-seated passion for continuous learning, and a proven ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
* Leadership: Demonstrated initiative through leadership roles in student organizations or extracurricular activities.
* Mobility: A clear commitment to an engineering career with AkzoNobel, including a willingness to travel nationally across Indonesia and internationally for various assignments.
* Communication: High proficiency in the English language.
## Key Roles and Responsibilities
During your 20-month rotation, you will gain hands-on experience in two critical areas of our manufacturing ecosystem:
1. Project Engineer
In this capacity, you will serve as a technical anchor, ensuring our infrastructure projects are delivered with precision and excellence.
* Execution & Coordination: Oversee the scheduling, preparation, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
* Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to strict Quality Assurance (QA/QC) policies, safety codes, and performance standards.
* Stakeholder Management: Maintain daily communication with project members to align on requirements and provide expert technical support.
* Performance Reporting: Manage project budgets, timelines, and personnel output, providing transparent status reports to leadership.
2. Process Engineer
As a Process Engineer, your focus will shift toward optimizing plant efficiency and maintaining our high standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
* Process Optimization: Monitor performance metrics such as productivity and waste indices, implementing corrective actions to reverse adverse trends.
* Focused Improvement: Develop strategic plans for operational enhancements in collaboration with the wider operations group.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with R&D, marketing, and central engineering teams to industrialize new products and manage site-specific recipe transitions.
* Troubleshooting: Provide on-site technical expertise to resolve operational challenges and ensure the seamless flow of production.
