## Key Plant Operator Responsibilities
As an integral part of the plant operations team, successful candidates will manage critical daily workflows to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and output. Key duties include:
* Refinery Execution: Execute LPG refinery operations safely and strictly according to established procedures to achieve targeted production goals.
* Startup and Shutdown Management: Conduct systematic plant startup activities adhering to predetermined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while managing routine and emergency shutdown protocols effectively.
* Field Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor active operating conditions and field equipment, maintain accurate log sheets, document routine tasks, submit equipment repair requests, and prepare machinery for maintenance crews.
* Operational Compliance: Follow direct instructions from supervisors and plant management relevant to daily refinery workflows.
* Safety Adherence: Implement, understand, and champion Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ/K3L) policies, proactively identifying and reporting potential workplace hazards.
## Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this technical role, applicants must meet the following professional and educational standards:
* Educational Background: Minimum of a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
* Professional Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating at a level comparable to a DCS Control Room Operator.
* Industry Background: Prior experience working within an established Oil and Gas company is strongly preferred.
* Technical Literacy: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and a strong grasp of digital reporting tools.
* Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English for effective communication and documentation.
* Soft Skills: Ability to work autonomously, maintain a strong target-oriented mindset, demonstrate a solid personality, uphold high personal integrity, and exhibit natural leadership and initiative.
